How to Organize Your Holiday!

Who likes to decorate for the holidays? I do! However, decorations can often become cluttered and disorganized if not properly managed. At Lettuce Organize, we believe organizing your holiday decorations is crucial to creating a peaceful and fun holiday. Here are some of our favorite tips for getting your decorations organized and ready to go!

1.         Categorize your holidays. Keep each holiday decoration bin separate. I love using colored

bins for different times of year: red and green for Christmas, Blue for Hanukkah, Orange

for Halloween, etc.

2.         At the end of each year, purge old decorations. Group your decorations into various

categories and store them in sturdy bins to protect them from the elements.

3.         Use bubble wrap and tissue paper to protect your delicate items. Do not overfill your

            containers.

4.         Always label the contents of your bins. This will make decorating and clean up so much

            more fun!   By doing this, you will know what you have, not over-buy and end up with

            duplicate items.

5.         Organize your bins by date (holiday/ or season). Be sure the bins are easy to get out and

            put away.

6.         Label your shelves to keep your bins organized.
